Power Struggles: Securing the UK’s energy future
December 9, 20242024-12-09T11:00:00Z
11:00 - 12:00
Central Westminster
The previous Government navigated the UK through the energy crisis after Russia invaded Ukraine. But Onward’s recent report, Target Practice, identified that our energy supply remains too insecure. The UK must work quickly to establish a more secure energy system to reduce its exposure to future crises, particularly in the context of significant geopolitical uncertainty.
This event will discuss the key steps that need to be taken to enhance energy security in the UK, including the balance of public and private investment, and supply chain and skills development. It will also examine the future energy mix that should be targeted to best tackle the trilemma of security, sustainability and affordability.
This event is now at capacity. But, you can watch the discussion from 11.00 on Monday 9th December by clicking here.
This event has already taken place. Please see our full events list for details of our other events.
